Senior Management
Michael O. Bridges, President and CEO
Mike attended Texas Tech University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1981. Upon graduation, he was employed by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation where he held several positions with increasing responsibility in engineering and management. These roles included Chief Engineer, President of Anadarko Canada Corporation and most recently Vice President of Operations in the Rocky Mountains, a position he left in the spring of 2007 to form Legado Resources LLC. Mike is a member of the Texas Tech Petroleum Advisory Board, the Texas Tech Petroleum Engineering Academy and a former governor of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.mike.bridges@legadoresources.com
John H. Beaird, Senior Vice President - Engineering
John attended Louisiana Tech University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1982. Upon graduation, he was employed by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation where he progressed thru increasing roles of responsibility in engineering and management. Focused primarily in evaluations and economic analysis, John has been involved in waterfloods and CO2 projects as a reservoir and production engineer, as well as overall project management. Most recently John was General Manager responsible for Anadarko's EOR assets in the Rocky Mountains. John left Anadarko in the spring of 2007 to form Legado Resources LLC. As Sr. VP of Engineering and Evaluations, John is responsible for the economics of individual projects as well as the quantification of the portfolio of projects pursued by Legado. Dane L. Cantwell, Senior Vice President - Development
Dane graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1985 from the University of Missouri - Rolla. Upon graduation, he was employed by Atlantic Richfield where he worked on EOR projects in Alaska, New Mexico and Texas. Dane joined Anadarko in 1993 where he was responsible for the development of EOR projects in Texas, Oklahoma and Wyoming. Most recently Dane managed a deep water development project and prior to that was the General Manager of Anadarko's western states where he was responsible for Anadarko's EOR projects. Dane left Anadarko in 2007 to form Legado Resources, LLC. At Legado, Dane is responsible for the identification and development of new opportunities. Robert (Bobby) Roberts, Senior Vice President and CFO
Bobby attended Baylor University where he graduated with a BBA in accounting in 1984. After one year with KPMG Main Hurdman, Bobby returned to school and earned his MBA from SMU in 1987. Upon graduating from SMU, he began his banking career with Bank of America in Houston. He has over 20 years of energy finance experience, having worked with Bank of Montreal, Scotia Capital and RBS as a relationship manager charged with structuring and negotiating lead senior bank loans and project finance transactions for oil and gas companies as well as originating capital markets transactions and working with his clients on hedging commodity, FX, and interest rate risk. Bobby has also worked for Shell Capital where he originated and executed senior debt, mezzanine, and preferred equity transactions as well as with Plexus Capital, a capital formation investment bank. Lonnie Ashley, Senior Vice President - Operations
Lonnie graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1983. He spent his first 10 years with Conoco in West Texas and Houston where he held various engineering and operations assignments overseeing primary and secondary production activities from design to implementation. During his last several years at Conoco he was the Director of Safety and Health where he was responsible for the continued development and oversight of their health and safety programs. In 1994, Lonnie left Conoco to join Denbury Resources during its infancy stage as their first production engineer and operations manager. Over the next 13 years he helped grow the company from a small independent oil company, reworking and drilling wells in Mississippi and Louisiana, into the premier CO2-flooding operator east of the Mississippi. His most recent responsibility was overseeing the implementation of Denbury’s Southwest Mississippi CO2 development plan. Lonnie left Denbury in early 2008 to join Legado as the Vice President of Operations responsible for implementing the development of Legado’s assets. lonnie.ashley@legadoresources.com
Joe Korenek, Senior Vice President – Business Development and Land
Joe Korenek received a BSc in Petroleum Engineering (1992) and a Masters in Business Administration (2005) from Texas A&M University and a MS in Environmental Engineering (1999) from Georgia Tech. Joe has fifteen years of petroleum engineering, reserves evaluation, financial analysis and business development experience in the upstream E&P industry covering North America and over 20 countries worldwide while working for large US independents and Ryder Scott Company. Most recently, Joe was Manager of Business Development for Apache Corporation where he developed expertise in evaluation, negotiation, and closing acquisitions and divestitures while personally managing over 40 transactions valued at over $300MM and materially contributing to 4 additional transactions valued at over $2B.joe.korenek@legadoresources.com
Tom Thurmond, Engineering Manager
Tom Thurmond graduated from Texas A&M University in the fall of 1997 with a BS degree in petroleum engineering. Mr. Thurmond began his career in Midland, TX with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation where he held positions of increasing responsibility within the operations and reservoir engineering groups. In 2005, he accepted a position on the Corporate Development team of The Houston Exploration Company focusing on asset acquisitions and divestitures, reserves management and corporate strategy. In June of 2007, after the successful sale of The Houston Exploration Company, Tom joined Legado Resources, LLC. Dan Victor, Engineering Manager
Dan graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. Upon graduation, he was employed by Anadarko and worked within the operations and reservoir engineering groups on a variety of projects including water flood, CO2 flood, coalbed methane, and tight gas development. Dan was responsible for the reservoir management of CO2 floods in Wyoming, Oklahoma, and Texas with a focus on project design, surveillance, and reserves evaluation. Most recently, he worked on an EOR development for a major oil field in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. As an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Dan has authored technical publications and supported presentations for industry events such as the annual CO2 conference in Midland. dan.victor@legadoresources.com
John Allison, Engineering Manager
John graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1992. John went on to graduate school at The University of Texas graduating in 1994 with an MS in Petroleum Engineering. He worked for thirteen years with Anadarko Petroleum in Liberal, Kansas and Houston Texas. John worked in all engineering disciplines, specializing in enhanced oil recovery, coalbed methane, shallow gas plays, and West Texas oil properties. John spent the last eight years in the EOR group with Anadarko doing compositional simulation, project development and reserves estimation on major Wyoming CO2 projects. John recently worked in Anadarko's deepwater group where he worked a miscible nitrogen flood project. As Engineering Manager for Legado, John's technical and business skills will be used on CO2 development projects, CO2 commercial deals, waterflooding, and project identification and acquisition.john.allison@legadoresources.com
Mary Jo Brundrett, Vice President – Land and Land Administration
Mary Jo Brundrett began her collegiate experience at Northwestern University, completing her Bachelor and Master level degrees at Southern Methodist University, and Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. Ms. Brundrett has been engaged in the energy industry since the early 1980’s, having represented energy clients in an array of A&D, land and legal functions in the continental U.S., Gulf of Mexico and western Canada, guiding legal, title and negotiation efforts in the closing of transactions valued in excess of $10B. Prior to joining Legado Resources, LLC, she was a senior member of Apache Corporation’s Business Development group, and is currently responsible for the Land and Regulatory functions at Legado. mary.jo.brundrett@legadoresources.com
